Box. This box was all hand painted in Limoges, France in one of
the finest factories Artoria. What outstanding detail all the way
to the tips of the wings. The eagle is 3" h by 2 3/4" w. Marked
limoges, france, artoria and is LTD. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity
and Artoria Gift box. New, from Artoria this year part of the Endangered
Species Collection, which Artoria is donating 10% of sales of this box

Eagle became the National symbol of the United States in 1782, and its
powerful symbol of FREEDOM and is the only eagle unique to North America.
By 1940 the Bald Eagle was already threatned with extinction. Congress
quickly passed the Bald Eagle Protection Act which made it illegal to
kill, sell, or harass a bald eagle. By 1967 the bald eagle was listed
as an endangered species. The greatest threat came from the widespread
use of the chemical pesticide known as DDT after World War II. But fourtunately
, conservation efforts have successfully increased the bald eagle population
to the point where the bird was finally removed from the endangered species
list on July 2, 1999. So this limoges piece is a true symbol of our countries
Freedom!
